The Memphis Interfaith Coalition for Action and Hope is a nonprofit "organization of organizations" with a mission of equipping people of faith and goodwill to organize communities for systemic change through collective action. As a coalition of over 50 congregations, unions, and community nonprofits, our justice work focuses on 3 issue areas: Transit Equity, Transformational Justice, Housing & Livability, and Immigration & Inclusivity. Since entering the public arena in 2018, MICAH has made a substantial impact across Shelby County and gained a frontline reputation on our issues, including improving public transit, the creation of the first conviction integrity unit in Shelby County, and a transparent and accountable search for a new school district superintendent.
