Voter Engagement with the Memphis Grizzlies!

In September and October, we had an ongoing partnership with the Grizzlies for energized voter engagement efforts leading up to the November 5th election. Kicking off with the “Get Rev’d Up” Day on National Voter Registration Day, we welcomed around 500 high school students who engaged with various organizations, resulting in approximately 400 new registrations. Devin Dearmore, our MYC adult liaison, co-hosted informative sessions on gun safety referendums and encouraged students to hold mock elections at their schools. Additionally, we presented at a “lunch and learn” for about 75 Grizzlies staff members, providing presentations on the election ballot and our various resources. Throughout three Grizzlies games, our dedicated MYC leaders, including Mark Williams, Tayvon McKinney, and Mike Phillips, and Lead Canvasser Christine Fox engaged around 600 attendees, keeping the momentum strong.
