We would like to highlight Oyama Hampton III, leader from Memphis Catholics for Social Justice and our newest Transit Equity Co-Chair! Oyama recently attended our Listening Campaign Training and is currently invested in the fight for securing public transit in the city.

"I am originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. My formal employment career started in high school education. After working in corporate America for approximately 15 years in insurance, customer service management, and sales, I transitioned back into higher education through employment at Southwest Tennessee Community College.

I started on senior staff and transitioned into a full-time faculty role in the Business and Legal Studies department. I have two adult children (a son and a daughter). My hobbies include running, swimming, and watching sporting events." - Oyama Hampton, III
