About the event

Join the Shelby County Voter Alliance (SCVA) for our very first election cycle kickoff event “FREE THE VOTE: Rally of Electoral Resistance.” This will be a community and family day at one of Memphis’s most beloved urban parks. Bring the entire family and enjoy an afternoon of:

-Voter education and community resources -Easter Egg Hunt for the kids (yes even if it will be past easter) -Live music -Games and fun activities -Food

This is a celebration of community, democracy, and the power we hold when we come together. But it’s also a moment to reflect on where our city stands:

We are seeing our city shaped by outside forces, massive corporate interests moving in, and decisions being made that affect our air, our neighborhoods, and our future. Yet too often, our elected officials are not standing up for our communities.

Why?

Because too many of us are being left…
