Last month, MYC welcomed new members from the Pleasant View School Immigration Reform group! Though they were not able to meet many of the other youth council members, they were able to spend some time in the I Am Program space and leave some encouraging messages on the chalkboard wall. Later, the I Am Program youth took pictures with the messages that they loved the most.

This month, Youth Council leaders will participate in the Youth Voice Summit hosted by the Shelby County Youth Council on Saturday, April 8th, 12-3pm at the Bridges Center (477 N. 5th St. Memphis, TN 38105). During the summit, the youth will meet with their Shelby County representative and advocate for changes they want to see in our community.
