Join us for our monthly meeting -- held the second Tuesday of every month from 7-8:30pm. This month our meeting will be hosted by one of our charter partners, Temple Israel. There will be one-on-one conversations as well as updates on MICAH's organizational development and our growing list of charter partners. In the past three months the educational component of the meeting has had special guest speakers focus on education (July), immigration (August) and confederate monuments (September); this month's educational component is still being developed and will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
MICAH (Memphis Interfaith Coalition for Action and Hope) is a forming coalition of faith-based and community organizations joining together to give a more powerful voice for issues of justice in our city. We will organize and speak to our community and its leaders, always seeking to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God." The purpose of MICAH is not to replace each congregation or community organization's efforts, but instead, to amplify the voice and the impact by working together interdependently.
